Pre-K Moppets

Offer your child an opportunity to explore the natural world. The Moppets programs have been an integral part of the museum's mission since 1974. This informal science program introduces your child to the natural world through nature walks, hands-on science activities and classroom activities that foster cooperation with others, language development and creative play.

The Moppets Nature program is appropriate for children ages 3 and 4. (Please use child’s birthday as of September 1, 2007.) Classes meet 1 day a week for 2 hours from 9:30-11:30 A.M. The cost of this 26 hour program is $225 for non-members and $205 for members.

Only complete application packets will be processed.  Birth certificates and medical record forms already on file at the museum may be used.  One registration form per participant.  Complete applications processed on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are paying by check and fax your reservation it won’t be complete until the check is received.
