Explore and discover our wetlands by canoe, foot & hands-on investigations. Weather permitting, Ages: 12-16 years Time: 9 am – 2 pm
Young artists will follow in the footsteps of great artists such as Audubon and Monet with unique opportunities to draw directly from nature and live animals. Ages: 6-12 years Time: 9 am – noon
Enjoy wildlife and gardening? Led by Master Gardeners, each camper will become a Certified Wildlife Gardener through the Junior Master Gardener program. Ages: 9-11 years Time: 9 am – noon
Animal Adventure Camp 1 Love animals? Experience a behind-the-scenes, hands-on adventure with the different animals found in the museum's exhibits. We'll explore the various reptiles, amphibians, mammals, insects and birds that help us spread our conservation message. Spend the week learning about the needs of these animals and personally take care of some of our education animals. Class led by museum staff and animal care specialists.
Animal Adventure Camp 2 Already attended Animal Adventure Camp 1? Continue your adventure and delve deeper into the world of our animal ambassadors as you care for a different education animal, create enrichment items, and are introduced to animal behavior training. A highlight of the week will be a visit from Blackland Prairie Raptors as they share some of their rehabilited birds of prey with us. Class led by museum staff and animal care specialists. Sessions: Animal Adventure 1- July 5 -9 Time 9am- 2pm, Ages 10-14 years Cost $260 members, $285 non-members |
